Mark is currently a moderator on Prodj.com and attends the Mobile Beat convention in Las Vegas every Feburary. Mark believes that networking is essential today as working with other DJ''s helps build the industry. He also works with other dj''s to help them get to their goals.

Vice President: Jack Brown

Jack started spinning vinyl while in High School in the early 70’s. He attended Oakland C.C. and Central Michigan University majoring in Audio Visual Technology. He briefly owned and operated a mobile recording company specializing in audio recordings of weddings (what a concept!) before the advent of video camcorders! He has been a part-time DJ for over 30 years working on word-of-mouth referrals. He and Wife, Sandy decided to start their Mobile DJ company in 2003 and have shown steady growth specializing in personalized Wedding Receptions.

He is nearing retirement from his full-time career as a Supervisor with the Road Commission for Oakland County and looks forward to being a full-time DJ! Jack has two adult sons and is currently attending the Second City Training Center. Determined to do things the "right" way, Jack joined the ADJA in 2005 and was anxious to get involved in starting the new local chapter and working with like-minded professionals to raise the bar for all.

Secretary: Lane ONeill

Lane ONeill says, music has always been a part of his life. Lanes first record was a page tear-out from a Puff the Magic Dragon storybook reader. He says he must have replayed that square page record on his portable phonograph a 1000 times. By the time Lane was in Junior High School, he had amassed the biggest record collection and best sounding bedroom stereo of anyone in his school. Hi-Fi had become a passion and he used to be a hang out at the Stereo Center in Flint and the Gramophone in Birmingham, Michigan.

When Lane was in the 8th grade, he agreed to bring his personal stereo to a friends house party. Donations were taken at the door and Lane made $67 from his first paid gig. During High school and college, Lane found DJing was mostly for fun at private house parties or Frat parties. Lanes DJ career has snowballed since then. Lane received a BA from the University of Michigan with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. Lane has been a licensed social worker since 1989. He considers himself to be an expert in crowd dynamics, reading the crowd, and knowing exactly what song to play and when.

More than just a hobby, Lane registered as a business, Acclimated Sounds, in 1993. He sees each bride and groom as unique, and has tailored each of more than 500 wedding receptions to his clients individual desires. Lane believes that his expert communication skills, planning, and attention to detail are what have helped him consistently exceed his clients expectations. Although an elegant wedding reception specialist, he also enjoys entertaining at most any special occasion or event.

Lane has attended numerous national and international DJ conventions in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Cleveland, and Chicago. He has been a member of the Michigan Disc Jockey Network and the DJ Alliance, a founding member of the Association of Mobile Entertainers, and is currently a proud board member for the Michigan Chapter of the American Disc Jockey Association. Its a big responsibility, but also a lot of fun!
