"Ladies and gentlemen!...LET''S GET READY TO RUMB..."...er...uh...Well, not quite... but sort of... Our fearless leader has a part-time career as a Ring Announcer for Starfight Productions. Doug will be the first to tell you, Michael Buffer he''s not. He''ll tell you about some creepy Mixed Martial Arts cards where avoiding blood puddles while wearing fine formal wear becomes a challenge.

"Entertaining since 1972" his web-site proudly declares. Let''s see...If we minus from eight, carry the three...Dang, son! That''s a mighty long time!

To me, that makes Doug the "Grand Pappy" of Tampa Bay DJs. For me, he''s also the closest thing to a father figure (next to former Prez, Jim Smeaton) 

Like most of us, Doug started in (and around) college, but pretty much was a club guy...literally spinning vinyl 45s at some of Tampa Bay''s most historic venues, places that are long gone, but not forgotten. Been here as long as I have? See how many you might remember (award yourself a point for each one): Lone Star Lounge, Crown Lounge, ABC Lounge, Crawdaddy''s, London Victory Club, Mako''s, Chevy''s, Robiconti''s, Stingers, Club Chicago, Harpo''s, Borderline, Round-Up...Ah, the memories!

Doug''s proudest memory is performing as opening entertainment for Kool & The Gang, Village People and Aerosmith for a corporate thing in Orlando back in 2001.

These days, besides working high-end events all over the State of Florida and trucking his two kids between school and soccer (yes...he''s a soccer dad), dude is House Jock at Jackson''s Bistro out on Harbour Island off of Downtown Tampa. Today, comfort comes playing digital media, MP3s and MPEG video.
